Hey, I am planning to run a Microsquirt Amp'd ECU on my 2004 Mk4 Golf. I'm not completely sure if I need to factor in the ABS module, as far as I know my car doesn't use a CAN, so the ABS system is all wired in. I don't yet know if the OEM ECU talks to the ABS control module. If it does I am guessing I will need to keep the two systems, and the Microsquirt will only control of fuel and timing? I want to remove the MAF and use MAP in the swap too, so I wont have that data to send to the old ecu. If anyone has experience with making similar calls on their stand alone setup I'd be really interested to know which way you went.
