Bosch Motorsport ABS Upgrade & Racing Update

Stock ABS in the bin, Bosch Motorsport Australia M5 ABS system in its place, sprint racing and more in this update.

Across a range of classes the local sprint racing scene contains a mixture of cars from a Ford RS200 to Porsche, Aston Martin and Lamborghini GT spec cars and similar. We run none of those cars but a Honda CRX/KRX and Toyota GT86/SR86.

Andre runs you through the day's sprint racing, which included a punt from Ben in the other HPA car, who was racing on a different track layout previously and had a bit of a brain fart trying to go straight ahead instead of hard right. No significant damage, they still even share an office.

The big news is an ABS upgrade to the SR86. Given it already has a stock Toyota ABS system, you might wonder, what's the point? Well, we will cover this upgrade with the data that will show you exactly that in time. At this stage, we're hoping to have it good to go for the 2nd round of the endurance racing season in September, only because Andre has a family commitment that sadly clashes with the first round.

Lastly, we have a podcast, and according to those listening, it is awesome. If you like the content like this, you are going to enjoy the podcast; there are some great technical discussions, including "081: PROPERLY Understand Knock and Become a Better Tuner. [PODCAST]" with Ioannis Andrianakis of Plex Tuning. This episode really drills down into what detonation/knock is, its causes, and how knock detection systems work. There is no doubt a lot in this episode you probably didn't know you should know if you are learning how to tune: https://www.hpacademy.com/podcasts/

Finally, the Haltech R3 competition has closed (cheers Haltech); we're just a bit late getting this video out. Congratulations to the lucky winner, it might be you next time and remember, these are free to enter, it's always worth a punt. Here is the latest competition: https://www.hpacademy.com/giveaway/

Hi guys, I need help with fitting a Bosch Motorsport ABS M5 kit into a gt86 like you guys are doing with your car. Please tell me which sensors you'll used for the wheel speed sensors or what you did to modify the stock system?
