Oil Catch Can OUT, Air Oil Separator IN | Today At HPA [UPDATE 259]

Indestructible (maybe?) Bosch LSU ADV sensors, budget Autosport connector alternatives, air oil separators and more. This is Andres update that came right before webinar lesson ‘237 | Air Intake Restrictions Explained’. Details on membership below.

In this [UPDATE] we're going to discuss the new-ish Bosch LSU ADV pre-turbo wideband sensors that can handle a greater heat range than alternatives like the Bosch LSU 4.9, however, not without a complication that Emtron Engine Management Electronics is one of the first ECU manufacturers to address. Don't panic though, others will no doubt be on point shortly too, as Andre explains.

Also discussed is why the catch can was removed from the @RaceCraft HQ Toyota GT86 in favour of an iAG air oil separator, along with why this is advantageous for this application over the catch can that to be fair has served the car well for some time.

A budget alternative to Autosport connectors (and the required tooling) is often requested, so when solving a recent issue on the same GT86 we took the opportunity to test some for you via some connectors that use the same tooling as our general go-to Deutsch DTM favourites.
