The 2024 World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) is done and dusted! It was another great event, with the roll racing being the standout beyond the time attack racing itself. While we start to edit our content, here's some insight into this year's WTAC results, with some previous relevant WTAC content sprinkled in for your viewing pleasure.
Pro Class
In the Pro class with the Barton Mawer and the RP968 breaking its own track record in the 1:17's, and the controversial carbon monocoque Rodin Sintura entry well off that pace with a 1:27 at the hands of Josh Buchan.
While the Pro Class has never been a 'grid filler', it is a shame to see it down to 2 entries this year. We hope 2025 can bring back some more entries and competition to the class which the RP968 has completely and deservedly run away with in the last few years.

The Pro-Am class was more active, with Feras Qartoumy smashing his 2023 time down from a 1:27 to a 1:25.4, but the Audi 1:1 team took the top spot with a 1:24.8, just shy of Royal Purple/Tilton Racing EVO's 1:24.6 set back in 2019.

Open Class
The 'dreamboat' from the Dream Projects S15 team was back this year and looking as good as ever taking out the open class in the capable hands of Robert Nguyen of 'Mighty Mouse' CRX fame (one of the, if not THE, fastest FWD WTAC cars) with. a 125.5, a new class record. As well as taking that record from the Xtreme GTR team, the S15 has arguably also taken the mantle of the best presented race car at the event too. No small feat.
Some big names rounded off the top 3 with Nathan Morcom in the GAS EVO and Tim Slade in the Xtreme GTR taking out 2nd and 3rd respectively as well as Cole Powelson taking a break from his R35 GTR this year to sling a Subaru WRX around the track instead.

Clubsprint Class
The Clubsprint Class racers are always out in numbers and this year was no different with Trent Grubel of DC Jap Automotive taking out the top spot and beating his own class record from 2023 by some margin, coming in at 1:32.23. Plazamaman's Alex Michalsky and Got It Rex's Michael Garland were 2nd and 3rd noting Alex has made a HUGE jump on last years effort going from a 1:35.7 down to a 132.27, a fantastic effort and an incredibly close finish behind Trent.
