EFI Tuning Fundamentals teaches you the core principles behind the engine operation, as well as the operation of the ECU. You’ll learn how the engine produces power, why it requires a specific amount of fuel, and how to decide what the optimal ignition timing is using the dyno. You’ll also learn how compensation tables work in the ECU and how to configure them correctly. You’ll learn how interpolation works in the fuel and ignition tables and learn how to correctly configure your tables for maximum accuracy without making more work for yourself.

EFI Tuning Fundamentals isn’t specific to any particular engine or any tuning software. Instead, it focuses on the fundamental principles that are applicable to any 4 stroke, gasoline engine. So regardless whether you’re reflashing the factory PCM on a naturally aspirated LS3, or you’re tuning a Honda K20 fitted with a turbo and a standalone engine management system, or any other combination for that matter - This course contains essential knowledge you need to know.

This course is theory-based, and while several examples are demonstrated on the dyno to help reinforce the concepts being taught, it won’t teach you how to perform your tuning on the dyno or the road. Will this teach me about rotary engine tuning?

If you want to learn how to tune a rotary engine, then this is the place to start! Some of the knowledge is specific to piston engines, however, the basic principles are the same and where things do differ we cover in later more advanced course material when applicable.
