Downloading and Installing PC Link

00:00 | - Before we get started, we need to download and install the latest version of PC Link. |
00:04 | This software is our user interface to adjust and tune the ECU and it also includes the firmware that the ECU runs. |
00:13 | Downloading the software is easy, open your internet browser and go to Link's homepage which is www.linkecu.com. |
00:22 | On the right side of the page you will see a large PC Link download icon. |
00:26 | Clicking on this will automatically download the latest version of PC Link. |
00:31 | Depending on your browser, a box may pop up asking if you want to run the software or save it. |

00:38 | PC Link will now start downloading. |
00:41 | Once the download is complete, you need to install the software and the USB drivers. |
00:47 | To do this, go to your downloads folder and find the PC Link set up file. |
00:53 | Right click on it and choose run as administrator. |
00:58 | A box will open asking if you want to allow the program to make changes to your computer. |
01:03 | Click yes and this will start the PC Link setup wizard. |

01:11 | The setup wizard will create a folder in your C directory for all the PC Link files. |
01:17 | If you've already installed a previous version of PC Link and you are just updating, the wizard will tell you that the directory already exists. |

01:29 | Continue to follow the onscreen prompts until the installation is complete. |
01:34 | Once PC Link is installed, another window will open to walk you through installing the USB drivers. |
01:42 | Again, just follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. |
01:47 | Once the driver installation is complete, click finish on both windows and you're done. |
01:52 | If you close down your downloads folder and your internet browser, you will now see the PC Link icon on your desktop. |
