00:00 | As you will have seen by now, there are a number of ways to achieve the same aim when using M1 Tune, and there is no right or wrong way to use the software. |
00:10 | Calibration changes can be made primarily with the track pad, or with the keyboard depending on your personal preference. |
00:17 | Personally I find using a track pad on a chassis dyno fiddly and inaccurate so I prefer to use the keyboard wherever possible. |
00:26 | To help speed up navigating through M1 Tune as well as making calibration changes, a wide variety of keyboard shortcuts are available, and you will notice we have already used a few of these. |
00:38 | A full list of shortcuts is included as an attachment below. |
00:43 | The full list is quite extensive but as you become familiar with Tune, you will find a few shortcuts that you use constantly. |
00:51 | Tune also gives you the option of configuring your own ‘Hot Keys’ for quickly navigating to a specific worksheet. |
00:59 | These hot keys can be configured from the ‘Key Bindings’ tab in the Layout Editor box. |
01:05 | You can see that we have the option of configuring the F5, F6, F7 and F8 keys to navigate to specific worksheets. |
01:16 | Lets see how we can use this by configuring the F7 key to swap between the ‘Knock’ and ‘Ignition’ work sheets. |
01:23 | Start by clicking on the function key you want to customise - in this case ‘F7’. |
01:28 | Now tick the ‘customise’ box and you can add the worksheets you want the hot key to swap between. |
01:34 | In this case we are going to click add and select ignition, and then knock. |
01:39 | If you close the box, you can now switch between knock and ignition with the F7 key. |
01:46 | These hot keys are a handy for quickly accessing the most common worksheets you are using. |
