Im really not understanding the Concept and the Use of Rotary Switch
A multi-position switch will allow you to change some parameter in the ECU while the engine is running (no laptop connection needed). For example, you might support different boost targets, higher rev-limit, different settings for anti-lag, ignition changes for fuel type, etc.
