Hello, I would like to know what the math work is behind the calculation for Pad Force Requirement at 8:05 on the Discs, Calipers, and Pads video?

So we know our brake torque target, and brake torque = friction force x Effective Radius.

Friction Force = Pad force x Pad COF

So... Brake Torque = (Pad Force x Pad COF) x Effective Radius

Rearrange... Pad Force = Brake torque / (Pad COF x Effective radius)

However, as pointed out in this forum post https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/brake-system-design-and-optimization/show/brake-system-design-module-equations-and-notes/

I had a few typos in the previous workings that I need to correct when the video team come back from Xmas break.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
