How did you find the pad force requirement by only having the effective diameter, the effective radius, the target brake torque, and the pad's coefficient of friction? I am confused as to how you were able to get 26,388N.

Torque = the friction force from the pad X distance from the centre of rotation (the effective radius)

Rearrange that to Friction force = Torque/Effective radius

The friction force = Normal force on the pad X Pad COF

Rearrange to Normal Force = Friction force/COF

That normal force is the pad force requirement
