Hi,

I few photos of my 383 build. I think I am doing ok so far.

P.S. Ok, I give up. The site breaks every time I try to attach a photo.

Nice - you have done your sums for the correct piston/connecting rod options since it's a stroker crank?

Hi Gord,

It was a kit bought from a machine shop who picked the parts, checked and balanced them, so should be ok. Crank, rods, pistons, rings and all the bearings.

What is this 383 going to be installed in? I am currently working on a 1957 Chevy 210 project prepping for a body swap onto the new Art Morrison chassis. Just got the LS3 and Tremec TKX installed this weekend

Hi,

It's going in my 1970 Chevelle, currently under-going severe restoration. Dropped it off a week before the first lock-down and I still don't have it back. And it's a body only restoration as well, took everything off it before dropping it off.

I have now assembled all the pistons to rods using Spiro locks. There's a learning curve! Not all engine building is fun...

I also re-measured piston to bore clearance using my new micrometer and an happier with the new result.

Next up, piston rings.
