Hi!
So I started racing rally 2019 with my dad & girlfriend in a Suzuki Swift Mk1 -87. We had a great season but unfortunately we had a big accident in September 2019 where we went off the road at 110 km/h into a rock and destroyed the car. We did not sustain any permanent damage thanks to all the great safety equipment.
But December 2019 during the Christmas me and my dad bought a new chassi with a cage in it. And we have now started working on rebuilding the car with all the parts we can save from the crashed car.
Here is two clips from 2019 season, one outside and the other from the crash we had.

I hope to keep you all updated on how the car is coming along. Here is some specs of the orginal car which will be the same as the new one.
Model: Suzuki Swift Mk1 1987
Class: Grp N
Weight: 690kg
Engine: G13B, 16 valve, 1300cc, DOHC producing from factory 101 hp. No modifications allowed in my class
Gearbox: Standard gearbox with changed final ratio for better acceleration
Differential: Gripper LSD, Raceplates, QP 40/65 with 120 Nm preload
Suspension: Bilstein rally coilovers front and bilstein dampers rear
Brakes: Yellowstuff pads front, orginal calipers and disc. Drumbrakes rear(nice break balance right?)
Full roll cage, racing seats/harness, intercom and all other fun rally stuff is mounted as well. Probably something I have forgotten but just ask if you wonder anything. Here comes some pictures. (not sure how to make them appear in the forum, I'll try both upload them here and Imgur).
Old car in action
This is a photo from when we first got the car.
Electrical harness going in
Fuel lines and test fitting of the seats
Front suspension mounted
Body panels test fitted and also all of the suspension is done at this point. Some sanding being done to prepare for the paint.
I hope to keep this thread updated as we go, the goal is to get the car ready to go before the gravel season starts(around april).
Hey Andreas, nice build mate, it's good to see people who are bouncing back from big crashes and not letting it defeat them! Watched the crash video, it's pretty gnarly.
Keep us updated as you go
Cheers! and good luck
Matt
I used to know a chap with one of those, IIRC, the Group N was good for 130hp. He's a good sort, so you could try contacting him (don't know if he's still active, can be contacted there, or will respond) at...
