Hey

So i just wanted to let you know, that atleast on the VVTI UZ engines ajusting the intake cam dose NOT affect the exhaust cam timeing

The outer cam gear is attached to a long sleve witch also has the scissor gear on it and the camshaft slides freely inside this assembly, and is only held in place by a check pin at the tip of the camshaft to the inside of the vvti cam gear

This give fully independant control over the intake cams and leaves the exhaust cam at a fixed timeing

I dont know for sure but i suspect this is also the case for the ZZ engines but i dont work alot on those

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
