Have notice in data logging when backed of the throttle and not pedal the afr ratio is 20.33 is this safe? Tuning a 2008 wrx
Sure, that's likely DFCO (Decel Fuel Cut Off). Modern ECU's turn off the injectors completely when the driver requests zero torque and the RPM is above idle plus some margin (say idle + 1000 RPM).
It's perfectly safe.
