Hey

hope everyone is fine.

Just want to check with your experiences: I want to use my PLEX Knock Monitor as an external knock control. So I will provide the signals from the Knock monitor via CAN to my ECU and the depending on that reduce timing.

Question: PLEX Monitor is providing knock level and knock count.

Which one would you use as an input for a knock control table within the ecu?

Any help, thoughts and experiences are welcome :-)

You would typically use knock level. Have you watched the various webinars on Knock Control on other ECUs? The new search feature makes it easy to find all the webinars related to "knock".

Hi David - yes i think knock level is the right way to go. I did watch all webinars and videos on youtube - but all seem to be high level. Maybe a course concerning possibilities of knock control, how to adjust on dyno etc would be worthful.

There is a good hint from MAXXECU concerning the implementation of an external knock monitor as knock control
