I've put together a Fuel Injection Duration calculator that I'd like some feedback on and to see if anyone else would find this handy?
After going through the EFI Fundamentals course I thought it would be good to have a tool to input cell values into a base fuel table so I put together this Excel based Calculator. It's a little all over the place but you'll get the idea:
Input data into all fields that are unprotected and are light red eg. Engine size, Cylinders, Injector Size, RPM, MAP, Desired AFR etc.
An estimation of VE can also be entered. This will then produce a required fuel flow, injection duration and duty cycle based on the actual Injector size and sedired AFR. Injection duration and also a % of master duration for the Link and Vipec ECU can be calculated. The adjusted Master duration is based on the compensation that the Link ECU carries out at the different MAP load points.
I've tested it against a VE tuned ECU and a traditional fuel modeled ECU and as a basic start point it comes up very close. Thought it may be a good tool to set-up ms based fuel tables quite close when starting from scratch.
Please let me know what you think.
Cheers
