Using a Link G4+ as an example where would I find the reference as to how the fuel table is tuned as in VE or Injector Pulse width as a percentage. I'm referencing Link G4+ and Haltech Software whilst doing these courses. I have the base map for the G4+ Extreme for the Nissan GTS-GTR and at 120 kpa MGP at 4500 RPM as an example the table has a reference of 54.0

This couldn't mean the engine is at 54% VE at this boost I assume?

Any help would be great on this.

Cheers,

If you go into "ECU settings" then go "Fuel" "Fuel Setup" "Fuel Main" then under "Fuel Equation" it will say "Traditional" or "Modelled"

Modelled will required accurate injector data and fuel data to be able to calculate VE correctly. Then your VE table will represent engine VE.

Under traditional mode your fuel table will represent a percentage of your master fuel pw value.

Thanks for the info Chris. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the info Chris. Much appreciated.

The Link G4+ and the Haltech Elite are both able to be tuned in either injection time or VE modes so what you're looking at in the fuel table will depend on your base configuration.

When in traditional mode the Link G4+ uses a percentage of a master pulse width, while the Haltech Elite directly represents injector pulse width when in Injection Time mode.

Thanks Andre,
