"We'll assume we have an engine that's expected to make 600 horsepower." (?) Are we assuming for crank HP or wheel HP as this is a big difference. If I assume for 525 wheel crank is likely 640. Am I assuming for crank HP or wheel HP when finding injectors.

As it's the engine being referenced, I'd say it's crank (SAE) power.
