What does Andre mean at the end of the video when he talks about "targeting a richer air fuel ratio or removing ignition timing when the manifold temperature becomes excessive" How would the air temperature sensor signal us to make these changes?
The air temp sensor does exactly that - it registers the air temperature entering the engine. At high air temperatures the engine may be more prone to knock and adding more fuel can help reduce this tendency. Both the fuel and ignition tables will have a separate compensation table that uses IAT as the axis. These changes can be made here.
