Okay so I have been tuning my sti with ecu flash and so far I've just scaled the maf and the boost with wastegate targets. I am running 19 psi on stock turbo and I am seeing that I have what I consider High knock at high RPM. The worst I've seen it is -9 to -11 on the feedback knock. But this is the same with the stock 14 psi map. I have not messed with the timing table at all. AFR is on point and I have it set to a target of 11.6 in that high RPM. The only thing That I can think of that is being read by the knock sensor is my clutch. At Idle or Decel my clutch Rattles (stock Clutch). I think I damaged it when I installed the Built Motor, Only part of the build where I got impatient and used the bolts to pull the transmission and engine together. Other than that I don't feel the car low on power or hear pinging or detonation in that RPM range. Do you guys think My assumption is correct? My clutch is causing the knock noise? Also the injectors are fairly new but Not OEM just OEM cc Rated. Spark plugs look to be burning great as well. Hope someone can give me some tips on anything else I can check or that it might be? If you would Like Logs I do have plenty to give.

If it's really knock, then retarding the ignition timing should make it go away. What happens if you retard the timing by 6-8-10 degrees?

I will try that and see what comes from it. If it doesn't go away at all or completely pretty safe to say that its the clutch then?

If you take a stock tune and lean it out from 10.0 to 11.6 AFR at high RPM and full stock boost level it will knock severely.

I suggest not straying so far from the factory AFR and taking some timing out.

Okay Ill bring it back down, I'll try setting it at 11.1 and see if the knock goes away then Ill take timing out if it still has minor knock. I am using the stock afr sensor so I cant read anything below 11.1 lol. I just thought the stock afr target was too low at 9 afr and just wasting power at that point, Thank you guys for the response I'll make the changes and come back with what I found.
