Hi,

I have a bit of a noob question.

How can you measure the VE of an NA car using an AIT sensor and MAP sensor? So no MAF.

I know how much theoretical air the engine can flow, but very interested with the edition of different cylinder heads with large inlet and exhaust ports plus other modifications to try and find out what the current VE of the engine is?

Thanks

You can do this with a tunable ECU, where you can adjust the fuel to achieve an expected Lambda. The calculation of how much fuel was required will tell you the effective VE (airmass) of the engine at any given condition.

if you change components and have to add more fuel, then you've improved the VE by the percentage of fuel you had to add.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
