Greetings everyone!

Noob here looking for advice/knowledge. I’m installing a Syvecs standalone ecu on my Mazda 3 MPS and I have a few questions regarding the wiring of the APP sensor.

The pinout for the Accelerator Pedal Position connector from factory is as follow:

""

My understanding is Syvecs uses (2x) 5v for each sensor but when I look at the OEM wiring diagram for the sensor it gets a little confusing as it seems that the terminal F is a 12v coming from the main relay. I was told to re-pin terminal F and use a jumper from terminal A to F for a 5v reference. Below are more screenshots of the wiring diagrams.

My questions are:

How does other standalone ecus do it?

Is there a way to avoid re-pinning the connector?

Would it still work properly with just terminal A connected for a 5v?

Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

All ECUs I've tuned use 2x 0-5v input in the ECU for APP, but inverted compared to each others, one sitting at 4.5v and the other sitting at .5v with the throttle closed, for redundency.

I've never come accross an APP that has a 12v input, but I would power the APP and I would check the outputs with a voltmeter between APP1 and the ground, and APP2 and the ground, to see what is the output signal of each pot.

Frank, thanks for the advice. I will try that.
