Hello,
While I take this course to help me build my own harness for a K24 swap with a standalone ecu, I was hoping there would be an explaination on how to obtain all right connectors for the engine. The simple answer I figure is to document all the diffrent componets on the engine, find out what they do and intern find and source each conncetor. Is there an easier way than this, does it make more sense to try to find a junkyard or second hand harness to use for parts ?
The hard way is to identify each connector with hours of painstaking research.
However, some companies have already done that for you and offer things like this;

Depending on age and condition you can get connectors from junkyards and order new pins but you still need to be familiar enough with what brand/series/awg each terminal is and order accordingly. K series thankfully are a common enough engine that finding brand new connectors isn't that bad
Ballenger Motorsports has most of the K-series connectors identified, you can find that list here:

or here:
Image search is your friend; if you have a picture of the connector (make sure it's clear and nothing else is in frame), use either Google search image or ALI Express image search; it will cut down the time spent looking significantly.
