Hi,
Maxxecu recommended putting an external capacitor on built-in ignition coils system wiring (on 12v supply) in order to absorb voltage spikes which in turn prevents CAN disconnection. What do you think about it ? I am using 1500 Haltech elite ecu. I always face disconnection problems during tuning between my laptop and ecu even when I used resistance spark plugs. I can’t do PC data-log because of this problem.
It shouldn't hurt and there may be benefits from smoothing the voltage drop through the circuit to the coil(s).
It's exactly the same reasoning for radio suppressors in kettering ignitions.
