Im planning on remote mounting LS coils on my project and reading the article from adaptronic mentioned in this course, it says that the coil grounds need to go to the engine Block to reduce interference that can effect the engine speed sensors. provided the coils aren't also grounded to the chassis is it best to have them earthed to the engine Block as this wouldn't also be earthed to the chassis directly ?

The nergy from the coils is going to the head (through the spark plug). That's why you want the ground path to be on the head so the current flows there, and not to some other slightly less resistive path that will cause interference. There is a reason the GM LS engines have the coils grounded to the head -- follow their advice, or spend some time testing it yourself.
