Hello all,
I have got another question and i can't find it on the forums. I'm using a lot of Deutsch DTM connectors in combination with 22AWG M22759/32 wire. I noticed these wires are too small for the seals in the DTM connector so it is not sealing of the connector. Are these connectors not suitable for 22AWG wire or what are you guys doing/using to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Boots (or adhesive lined heat shrink) over the back of the connectors if they are in an area exposed to the elements. Be sure to use the DTM parts with extended cap to hold the boot (I think they the -E007 suffix). Here is a drawing:
I keep a bin of shorter length shrink tube to build up the OD from the crimp back to the seal in the housing to take up any voids. Usually when I have to mix wire gauges within a housing that isn't sized ideally.
