Hi team, I am struggling to find information/videos on how to pin the Bosch 6 pin throttle body connector. It appears that the centre of the plug needs to be removed so that the pin locks can be lifted up to allowing the pins to be pushed home, but I am unable to work out how to disconnect the centre from the body - or have I got it totally wrong - thanks for your help; Ross

Hi Ross,

Which plug? Bosch DBW's use a variety of connectors so it is difficult to provide an answer without knowing the connector in use. Most of the connectors that use a cage on the outside retain the cage to the connector, it just lifts up slightly once the locking tab has been released.

thanks so much for the fast reply Stephen; I hopefully have some photos of the connector attached

From Memory (its been a few years since it used one of those plugs, the green locking tab has to be pushed sideways in the connector to allow for the pins to be inserted. The pins also have a specific orientation that they have to be inserted in at so that the locking tab can move back into place.

Thank you, thank you, thank you - that works - sliding the green lock tab slightly sideways lifts the locks and allows the pins to go in and then return the tab which locks them in place - like many things in life, easy when you know how
