Hi guys,

So i'm chasing info on how to wire up my alternator.

My basic hardware is Ls engine LY6 block, ls3 heads, Haltech Elite2500 ecu, UC-10 Dash

Alternator is Mitsubishi 2 pin "Ls3" 140a part# A002tx3781

My issue is that i believe it Requires a pwm signal for it to function correctly.

Can anyone advise me if this is correct and how to wire it up,

or if it would simply be easier to change it out for a different alternator

Many thanks Levi

This should have you covered.

Those 2 wire alt's are actually fantastic once you understand controlling them. most people don't and just swap them out for the 4 pin variant which has more traditional simplified wiring.

I believe you need to use an external pull up resistor to make it work. the Elite's have a half bridge but that pulls to 12V and these are pwm to 5V.

Here is the Haltech documentation on controlling an RVC alternator.

The only thing I had to do different was to add an external pull up resistor to 5V to make it work right. This was on an Elite 2500

Hi guys, thanks for the info i have attached a drawing and pic of setup page

I assume the alt will be @ 0% duty charge rate with 0v input

and @100% duty charge rate with 5v input ?

Just wanting to confirm this will be correct

Thanks Levi
