I need to wire the NOS solenoid and Actuators to our system (Motec M150 and PDM15) and am told I should wire the Solenoid and actuators to the M150 and not the PDM15 due to reaction time in communication from M150 to PDM. I am told to use the half bridges as anything that need millisecond functions should be wired to M150. IF so, how would i wire this based on AMP draw for Solenoid and Actuators? Thanks.
I'm not particularly familiar with NOS systems, as they're not really used in the types of racing I've work in, but if you control the volume of NOS with a variable PWN command to the solenoid, then yes, wiring them to the M150 is most likely the best option.
Measure the resistance across the solenoid pins, and use Ohms laws to calculate the current the solenoid will draw. If you're driving it with a PWM signal, it wont actually draw this much current, but size your wiring and connectors for the worst cast scenario, which is when the solenoid is constantly on.
