I am using a Porsche 996.606.105.00 Reference sensor (used in 1999-2005 911's) in the stock location picking up teeth on the flywheel (60-2). It uses a 3 WAY KOMPAKT-BOSCH CONNECTOR. Can anyone share the pinout for this sensor?

""

From a quick google, Pin1 - Signal, Pin2 - Ground, Pin 3 Shield. This is a variable reluctance sensor, so depending on the edge as detected by your ECU, you might end up needing to reverse Pins 1 & 2.

David,

Can you share your search input? I dug around and found very little. I obviously need to up my google game.

Bill

Here is where I found the info:

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/821112-crankshaft-position-sensor-diagnosis.html

I think my search was "porsche 996 crankshaft position sensor", and I looked at more rennlist results in the 996 section.

I really need to go back to using google for these things, I have gotten into the habit of using duck duck go, clearly, I need to shop around these searches a bit more.

Thank you again for the link, lots of useful information.
