Hey all!
In relation to using a relay with the ignition wire, how many wires can we feasible splice together to use as voltage/signal wires?
For example, for my standalone, I need 4 injector voltage signals, an ethanol signal, fuel temp and pressure signal, oil temp and pressure signal: my point is that regardless of the 3-pin or 2-pin wires I need to run voltage wires to the specified sensors (mostly 12V but some are 5V).
How many wires can I reasonably splice together from an ignition voltage source to then branch out to my different sensors that need:?
Thank you ^_^
My belief would be the number of wires would be dependant on the ignition wire's total current carrying capacity you are drawing power from and the fuse size that is protecting that circuit then add up the amp draw from each sensor/injector/ignition circuit plus allowing for a little safety margin say 5-10% so not to exceed the ignition wire's limit or fuse rating.
This is a great strategy!!
Thank you for the thoughtful reply Scotty!! ^_^
