Hello,
I´m calculating the wire size to my harness. I´m using a PDM from AIM (PDM 32) and I uses AMP superseal connectors whose terminal support 16-20 AWG wire. This PDM has some outputs up to 35 A rated, but 16 AWG wire is rated according to the classes up to 8 A. So what can I do?
The High Power Outputs use more than one pin -- so you use 2 14 AWG wires (Tefzel ETFE rated at 17.7 Amps ea). I haven't looked, but there may be terminals for that connector that are designed for 14 AWG wires, or I would just try squeezing it in there.
BTW - I think the class info is a bit conservative, a quick google will find you this info for Milspec wire (which list 16 awg at 13.9 amps ea):
Thank you very much! I was really worried
