Hi All

I'd like to control a DC servo motor from a Motec M1 ECU. My car is dual duty (turbo Toyota 86 daily driver and weekend track car with Motec M150) and I'd like to wire an exhaust bypass valve. The valve is a 12V 1A motor and you reverse the polarity of the 12V control to open/close the valve. E.g:

- Valve open = Pin 1: 12V, Pin 2: Ground

- Valve closed = Pin 1: Ground, Pin 2: 12 V

It takes 4 or 5 seconds to open/close the valve. After that I assume some sort of limit switch in the motor stops it.

My question can I control this directly from the ECU using some sort of half/full bridge output? If not then I can use a normal relay output to control a 2 pole double throw relay and get the same result but would prefer not to add the relay if I don't need to given it's less than 1A.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
