I'm looking to build a 7M-GTE Toyota Supra engine for somewhere around 550 to 600hp, after watching this video seems I don't need to "blueprint"? Car is only going to be used for everyday/occasional driving, maybe a track day twice a year.
Focus on the known weak points of the engine. On the 7M they have are known for blowing headgaskets and sometimes having spun rod bearings.
Correct. Blue printing is a term most people throw around with no idea what it really means. Actual blueprinting is seldom used outside of professional high budget race engine development and would be expensive overkill for your 7MGTE. As Raymond has mentioned the head gasket is a known weakness on these engines so you'd want to make sure that you use a quality MLS gasket and a head stud kit.

Thought Id share this video, if anyone is interested in building this engine, goes over the improvements to the bottom end for good power levels and reliability.
