Hi everyone,

I am a bit of a novice with this platform so I apologise in advance if this is a silly question.. I have just got my RB25det running on a base map on a wire in Link Fury G4X ECU and I have an MXG 1.2 strada Dash display, they are communicating via CAN, I have the dash set up on the CAN stream on the ECU, the Dash is displaying everything I want but I cannot find the option to display ethanol content on the dash, it doesn't appear in any sensor list I can find, Can anyone help me with this? The sensor is set up correct and displaying on the ECU in PC link, I just cannot find the option / settings to display it in the dash?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Shane..

You need to investigate the CAN protocol the Link provides. Are there any channels that are user-specified? Can those be configured in the software to send you ethanol content? If the standard protocol doesn't do it, is there any provision to allow you to send your own CAN messages. On the MXG, you could use the second CAN bus (on the 22 pin connector) to receive a "custom CAN protocol", and add your additional messages. Just connect both CAN interfaces to the same ECU CAN bus.

You could also implement the entire Link Protocol (plus your additional message) as a custom CAN protocol on the CAN 1 connection. That's a bit more work, but saves on the wiring and 22 pin connector if you don't already have it.
