hey, im currently looking to set up my gc8 street/track car with a pdm. i only need headlights, taillights, numberplate lights, indicators, reverse lights, horn, wipers and starter running of my pdm but im wondering which i should pick to do this. the haltech pd16 would obviously be in the same software and have the same ease of use as my nexus r3 but only has 4x 25amp outputs and i believe 12x 8amp outputs but the ecumaster pmu has 10x 25amp outputs and 6x 10 amp outputs. im wondering which would be more suited for my application my keypad will be haltech and my display will be a uc10 so should i keep it all haltech or would a pmu16 be more suited for my application. (this is my first time setting up a car like this and have no previous experience doing this as this is my first built at 18 years old so ease of use is a massive plus)

if you want simplicity, keep it all Haltech. They do not play nice with other brands over CAN.

There is other cons like the PD16 needs the R3 awake to tell it what to do, and I imagine the amp draw of both units on will be a battery drain if left on for long periods.

a PMU16 is pretty much the best pdm on the market right now. there will be some learning curve to the software but its very powerful. You could use it somewhat standalone from the dash and ecu but it won't be as simple as all haltech.
