Afternoon all,
just a quick question regarding wiring up the alternator in a Mazda 323 with a Haltech elite 2000. theres the 2 pin plug RP19 with an L and S terminal, from looking online L = light and S= signal, assuming L would go to the dash light. My main predicament is the S terminal, do i wire that to constant 12v or do i run the alternator control DPO wire? is there anything im missing or getting wrong? just wanna make sure i get this right. thanks all :)
If there's an internal voltage regulator you can wire to power and the alternator will regulate itself, but if you want to reduce alternator output at times, or if the alternator doesn't have an internal regulator, then you'll want to ECU control the signal.
