Hi

I'm trying to assemble and order connecting rods and crankshaft bearings for my 1uzfe non-vvti, but I don't know what the markis in the catalog mean. Can anyone tell me which bearings will be standard size? thx

Car is Lexus SC400 1994 USA

The way it works at factory is that each crankshaft journal is measured and marked by a number depending on measured size (they are usually stamped on crankshaft cheek). There are bearing marks that correspond to each number of crankshaft journals so you don't need to measure bearings every time but just install bearings with appropriate mark that match the numbers- it saves a lot of time during assembly since all measures are done well prior.

If you don't have factory table explaining what number matches what bearing mark there is only one way to get it done - take measurements ( which in my opinion should be done anyway since crankshaft isn't new and might have some wear).

thanks, valuable advice. I'll ask the workshop if there are any markings on my crankshaft

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
