Quick question about wether its ok to use 1 head gasket through the build process (torque plate hone and dummy assembly) and still use it for final build?

anyone????

Yes absolutely this is fine. The only time I'd recommend replacing the gasket is after the engine has been run and heat cycled. Even then with a MLS gasket many engine builders will reuse the gasket. If you're using a composite style factory gasket then you can reuse the gasket during dummy assembly but not after the engine has run.

Hey Andre, just wondering if this same rule applies specifically to cutring gaskets also? With the notable benefits of honing with a torque plate I think it wise to spend the money to get as best a finished result as possible for the final build.
