What would be the reason for an conrod to bend
High boost or hydraulic combustion i.e.water in the combustion chamber.
The short answer is high cylinder pressure. The real question is, what caused the high cylinder pressure? With a stock rod this could easily be from adding boost to an N/A engine, or running too much boost on a factory turbo engine. Given the fact you're running an aftermarket rod, this makes bending the rod a little tougher. What are the conditions around this failure?
