Hi everyone!

I enjoyed the course - Engine Building Fundamentals - immensely. I have two questions.

#1 - Andre said that it is important to use mineral engine oils - at least at the beginning - and not synthetic. I would like to know more about this. Can somebody help my out?

#2 - Can I mix two 10W40 engine oils? Both ones are semi-synthetic. The only difference is that one (which is already in the engine) contains Molybdenum. My guess is it would be alright. (One additional info is that my car is stock, I just take great care of it)
