Hi guys,

I'm rebuild an Nissan VQ35DE engine. When removing a piston it slipped and made a mark on the edge of the cylinder.

There are exactly 3 location but the biggest one is in the middle of the photo attached.

Can the block be used again ? Is there a problem of leakage or possible cracking during use ?

Thanks

SHOULD be OK as long you aren't running high boost, just chamfer it nicely.

Ok, thanks.

I will stay in NA. The engine is stock at 280 hp and the target is about 330 hp and 8000 / 8500 rpm.

I will soon receive the head gasket from Tomei, they are 96.2 mm for 95.5mm bore size. I will check with head gasket.

Mine is NA too and the target is around 330BHP...but with only 3 litres!

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
