Hello, currently trying to get a cold start dialed in. When the car sits for a while and its cold (currently around 40F) it doesn't start on the first try. Always the second or third. The car has ITB's and the idle was adjusted hot by adjusting the TB's. It also has an IAC that I use to idle it up for a cold start or for A/C.

Also has the engine stumbles 6-8 seconds into the start once you get it running and smoothens out after a few seconds.

I have messed with Post start in fueling and ignition. Seems to be better when its on base tune. I have tried small adjustments to big adjustments including on the cranking for fueling. Just wondering if anyone can share some light for me on what I should do or what I am doing wrong. The car was dyno tuned and it started every time before we got this cold front.

Generally..the flat 6(and flat4) like a richer idle, warm up ad start up. I would've tackled startup conditions and had the ability to go back to the post dyno mapping, versus physical changes on the itb's themselves, can you put it all back, did you take solid notes on itb setup before doing all of this?. sounds like you are in the south?

logs?

have you adjusted the fuel prime pulse?

If it fires on the second start, but not first it can be because the values in this table are too low. This table is for the haltech to fire a certain amount of fuel right at the start of the cranking process to help develop a pool of fuel

On the 6-8 secs stumbling, what does the target AFR vs actual, is it rich or lean?

Other one to look at is for the IAC, check the idle control base output. Possibly the base output at low coolant temps is too low

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
