2017 corvette z06 6.2 supercharged manual transmission. I installed a cold air intake, kooks 2 inch long tube headers, full exhaust with no catalytic converter. Now I need to tune the car and am wondering what major things I will need to change to make it run better and no have a check engine light and still be safe. Not looking for maximum power because I don’t have a Dyno to tune on. Thanks
have you tuned a GM ECU before? Using HP Tuners comes with a bit of a learning curve. But, the major things to look out for are gonna be your MAF frequency table, DTCs related to O2 correlation, and spark tables. Just be careful with the spark table if you’re not using a dyno. Maybe try to rent a dyno from a local shop for a day? Or just take it to a local tuner who works with the C7Z06s. Where are you in the US? Down here in Texas, we have a bunch of shops who do dyno rentals, and who have good tuners very familiar with the Corvettes.
This is my 2nd gm tune. Ive taken all the classes but my first tune with headers. It appears that i can not do anything with the o2 sensor dtc tables, they are in gray and i cannot change them?
I’m not sure about the C7 Z06’s ECM, but I know the ZR1s were locked so that they couldn’t be readily edited. Generally you can get into the DTCs and set them as “no error reported” for O2 sensors BxS2. It wasn’t a table though, just a list of DTCs and their error reporting method. That’s how it was on the E38 in my C6Z06.
can you upload a tune file? I’ll have a look and see if I can figure out what you’re seeing.
