Looking for help with a BBC 540 with 8-71 and enderle bug set up with EFI in a C3 corvette...

Here's the details... GM Race Block, 4.5 bore with a 4.25 Crower E95135X4 Enduro Crank, Billet Crower Rods 6.386, Crower Pistons, Crower Hydraulic Roller Cam, F4978 or Crower Catalogue part is 01405. Intake 303 Duration with 0.612 lift and Exhaust 311 Duration with 0.636 lift. At 50 thou Intake 245 with 0.360 lift and Exhaust 253 with 0.374 lift. Heads are Brodix BB2XT CNC 355CC with Crower Roller Rockers, std ratio, Crower Stud Girdles ,Crower Roller Tappets etc. Roots 8-71 Blower, teflon stripped and an Enderle Bug catcher set up for EFI with 8 x 94 lbs per hour injectors (752 lbs per hour total). Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump with pre and post filters, 10AN fuel line, Aeromotive regulator set to 43.5 psi. Ignition is an ICE set up with ICE Distributor and Coil. All controlled by a Fuel Tech 550 along with a Fuel Tech Nano O2 sensor

Ignition is set up so that initial timing is set to 20 degrees, I have the fuel tech holding it back to 6 degrees at idle to keep the idle speed so its reasonable (700 to 800 rpm) but also to help with the heat. I found screwing it up above this it starts to run hot at idle. Timing increases at 1200 rpm to 9 degrees and goes from there up to 20 degrees at 2000 rpm and then all in at 2200 rpm capped at 25 degrees for now.

Running on 98 Premium fuel here in OZ.

I've got it running but when you put your foot on the gas it sneezes and stalls. If i run it up by using the idle screws on the hat its OK but as soon as you hit the throttle it doesn't want to play!!!

What am i missing here? My thought is i probably need to increase the acceleration enrichment via the fuel tech but??? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Andrew

Hi Andrew and welcome.

Might be worth posting this in the engine building section.
