Hi guys,

First off i am in no way adept at adaptronic ECUs. (Hence the post so bare with me)

Currently retuning a vehicle running an sr20det adaptronic plugin.

Wanting to know how to properly set the base fuel master trim. Running e85 fuel, i have set it using the supplied master trim in corrections to get the VE numbers lower (were 99 at idle in previous p98 tune that was done somewhere else)

However using the master trim adds to the % in the trim section in gauges window, so am assuming i may be missing something, as i thought correct scaling would show trim as 0%

Injector data has been input.

Running an innovate mtxl through serial port, targets have been set

Can supply any other info required.

EDIT: settings being input in open loop to avoid the mtxl making adjustments.

Ben

Hi Ben, sorry about the slow reply. I haven't used the Adaptronic yet so it's hard for me to give you specific advice. If it's one of the newer modular ECUs then I believe that they exclusively use the VE based fuel model which won't have a master pulse width parameter. All I can imagine is that this may be provided as a quick way of making overall adjustments. The correct approach then would be to leave the trim set to 0 and tune your VE numbers to achieve your target AFR. Provided your engine size, injector data, and fuel data are correct, the VE numbers should broadly be accurate.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
