Just from curiosity, I was wondering if there are aftermarket ECU's out there that used torque model based control of an engine. Maybe some high-end motorsport stuff?
Like Emtron.
Emtron, MoTeC, Syvecs and Life Racing all have the ability to provide torque-based engine control. At least for the MoTeC this is incorporated on applications where it's needed (for DCT transmission control for example on the R35 GTR) and isn't included in the likes of their GPA and GPR packages.
