I'm running a 2009 Toyota tundra 185amp alternator on the 4 rotor. Not running a charge/battery light on the dash. Do I need to run a resistor in place of the light? If so what size?

A normal Alternator Lamp is 3W, so at 12V that would be about 250mA of current. V=IR, so you would need a nominal 48 ohm 3 watt resistor, or a lamp.

Here is something suitable:

Depending on the actual alternator used, you may not need anything - could you please post the alternator model?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
