A good friend of mine just made 9.0 ET on his Subaru Forester with automatic transmission. Do you know about any other fast Subaru Foresters?

I don't know, personally, but they're a popular alternative to the regular saloons because they're cheaper and can be fitted with the same running gear - or fitted with the flat six for more power/torque.
However, the automatic option seems to be rather rarer, and kudos to your friend making that transmission work, as I expect he's needed to do a lot of development work on his own.
Congratulations!!! I've seen a few in the 9s over the years, remember a P&L built FXT ran 9.4 but don't recall a 9.0 so that might be the quickest one.
Indeed, very good result from him. Two years ago we had same results 9.5ET - the old classic rivalry Subaru vs Mitsubishi. I haven't done much since but he really made very noticeable progrees... I'll try to catch up in a couple of weeks )))
