I am in the process of rebuilding a 968 from the ground up. The engine was a well sorted turbo conversion that had a Euro1 ECU. Because the Euro1 is no longer supported and the technology is 20 years old, I am upgrading to an AEM Infinity.
My question is this: I am considering changing from the Porsche 57mm cable throttle to a Nissan Altima 2.5l 60mm DBW throttle body. My intake has a 61mm opening. Do I need to also include an IAC in the system or will the DBW alone handle the cold start idle?
Thanks for your replies.

DBW alone can act as an IAC. Here's how the Infinity ECU handles it, others may do things differently. The idle tables, which would usually set the 0-100% IAC duty, get used as a modifier for the minimum DBW throttle target. You tune the idle settings in the software just like any other car with an IAC. The base settings tend to work well for most throttles, 0-100% IdlePosition translates to 0-10% throttle... you can adjust that if needed.
Hope that helps,
SB
Thanks for the information.
